Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week” Gracyn Hall

It takes a great player to come in and produce consistently for a high school varsity team, but it takes an even better player to do it as a freshman. That’s the case for one Randolph County athlete who has led her team to an impressive start to the season. This week’s Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week” is Randleman’s, Gracyn Hall.

Hall, a freshman, was a star at Randleman Middle School the past three seasons and has made the transition from middle school to high school look easy. She has led the Tigers to a 5-0 start to the season while putting up some impressive numbers for a freshman. In just five games this season, she is averaging 15.0 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game. She is shooting 38% from the field including a 45% clip from behind the arc. At the charity stripe, she is shooting an impressive 92% going 22-for-24 in the first four games of the season.

The Tigers opened the week with a 55-40 win over the Providence Grove Patriots where Hall finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. One night later she got her second double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds in a 37-29 win over Ledford. She poured in 16 points to help the Tigers close out the week with a 44-28 win over Jordan-Matthews. If Hall and the rest of the team can keep up their strong play then the Tigers are in for a great season.

Congratulations to Gracyn Hall on being named this week’s Mid-State Toyota “Athlete of the Week!”
