SWR’s Maness headed to Wingate

Southwestern Randolph High School senior Heaven Maness signed her National Letter of Intent last week to continue her softball career at the collegiate level. Maness will suit up for the Wingate Bulldogs next year.

Maness is a three-sport athlete for the Cougars as a member of both the softball, basketball, and golf teams. She is a three-year varsity starter for the softball team with her fourth year as a starter coming this spring. She is also a four-year varsity start for the women’s basketball team. She has been selected All-Conference in both softball and basketball for the past three years. On the court, she has scored over 1,000 points. In three years on the softball team, Maness has led the Cougars to 47 wins as both the shortstop and pitching positions. She has a career batting average over .450 with a career ERA under 2.00 and nearly 20 wins as a pitcher. Everyone at would like to congratulate Heaven on this outstanding accomplishment and wish her the very best of luck next year!
