UCA picks up OT win

It was a perfect afternoon for high school soccer as the Lady Eagles of Uwharrie Charter took the field against the South Stanly Lady Rebel Bulls on Wednesday. It was a hard-fought game for the Eagles that eventually went into overtime before being decided on penalty kicks. The Lady Eagles rose victorious with a 3-1 win in penalty kicks. Kirsten Ferguson, Chloe Douglas, and Kayla Spencer scored the three penalty kick goals to give the win to Uwharrie Charter. Savannah Wilkins secured the win for the Eagles with three saves in the shoot out. Uwharrie Charter is nw 5-0 on the season.
